The turning phase of this piece was crucial for its final shape. At this stage, the artist gave the outside of the vase stripes of different colours. The outer rim band recedes slightly, and its shape is unique because it was shaped with the artist's thumb. The outer texture of this vase is formed by wrinkles that embellish it. The inside takes on different concentric colours of turquoise, given by the crystalline fired at high temperatures. The name takes its cue from this amphitheatre effect at the inner base of the vase.
